We show the inclusion of surface tension effects into the numerical algorithm for the computation of compressible multi-phase flows. We consider a n-dodecane droplet at saturation conditions for a temperature of 500 K. Due to the initial deflected state the droplet starts a periodic oscillation
The resulting oscillation frequency is in good agreement to the analytical formula of Lamb for an incompressible droplet without the influence of gravity.
